Hello and welcome.
I'm Josh Aerie, executive director of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Association.
This year's 53rd annual competition attracted the finest young musicians from around the globe.
Join us from the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at the University of Notre Dame as we celebrate our four gold medal winning ensembles.
First up is our junior string division gold medal winner.
The Alpaca Quartet from the Colburn Music Academy in Los Angeles, California, this string quartet showcases exceptional young talent from the West Coast.
Next up, our junior wind division gold medal winner, the Congredi Quartet.
Hailing from Chamber Music Connection and Worthington, Ohio, this mixed instrumentation quartet represents some of the finest young musicians from the Midwest.
Our senior string division gold medal winner is Trio Caspar from the Colburn School in Los Angeles, California.
This ensemble also won the Lift Every Voice prize in the Senior String Division for the best performance of a work by an underrepresented composer.
Our final performance is our senior wind division gold medalist and grand prize winner, ZaRiah, based in New Haven, Connecticut.
This wind quintet is the first of its kind to claim the fish off grand prize in over 20 years.
I hope we leave you inspired by these remarkable ensembles and their music.
